Central Technology College, Gloucester, UK
and Lela Secondary School, Ahero, Western Kenya

A dynamic schools partnership with a global focus

Welcome !     Karibu !    We hope you are inspired by www.schools-linking.org.uk

Since 1996 Central Technology College, Gloucester in the UK has had a partnership with Lela Secondary School in Ahero, close to the shore of Lake Victoria in western Kenya.

The results of this association have inspired students, staff and communities both in the UK and Kenya. Our link demonstrates the benefits of making global partnerships and of actively seeking to look at our own lives and the lives of others by having meaningful relationships with those learning, living and working in a different culture or part of the world.

2006/07 marks the tenth anniversary of our link! This website was established to celebrate this milestone, to give you an insight into some of the different projects we have undertaken together and in particular to give you an insight into our current project which was funded with a British Council Global Schools Partnership Curriculum Project Grant.

LATEST NEWS .....

We are very pleased to report that we have been awarded a second grant for a new project for the acadmic year 2007/08. We are very excited at the prospect of doing this. Called 'Bag gardens or shopping bags', details will be on this site in October 2007. Can you guess what it will be about?!
