‘Nature in Art lifts the spirits’     National Heritage Museum of the Year Awards judges report

We host at least one evening event each month.

 

Doors open at 7pm and, as well as the main event, tickets include entry into the museum and a finger buffet which is served at 7:30pm.  

 

The main event starts at 8pm.

An illustrated talk

Drawn to the Levels     

A chance to meet some of the artists involved in this unique project painting the fauna, flora and environment of the Somerset Levels in spring and to enjoy an illustrated talk by Brin Edwards and Peter Partington SWLA, including some live drawing!

A musical evening with the

Cadenza Singers     

A delightful miscellany of songs and readings performed by this popular Gloucestershire choir who enjoy singing a wide range of music from Mediaeval airs, part songs, folk melodies and hit numbers from Broadway and the West End. An evening for all.

An illustrated talk by Brian Durk

My Beekeeping Exploits     

A talk to coincide with our Bee exhibition. Brian is a project leader for Bees Abroad and manages projects in Ghana, Cameroon and Nigeria as well as teaching beekeeping in the UK. This talk will give us a fascinating insight into the lives of bees, and inspire us by showing how beekeeping can reduce poverty in the developing world.

An illustrated talk on the Palio Festival in Siena by Kate Drummond

 

Our free lunchtime talks are

the month.  They start at 12:15pm and last for approximately half an hour.
